Why should it be mandatory that the kids listen to the Obama speech. Most adults don't bother to listen to the president speak. When Obama schedules a speech. They will if they are in front a TV. Listen. Maybe DVR it. But they do not watch the whole thing. Before you had no choice. The president would be on every channel. But not know. We got choices. Even though he is the president. Most people watch the speeches before they are elected. But afterwards they don't. We wait for CNN or Fox News to show us the highlights. We wait for Letterman to show us the lowlights. So before people get upset about some parents do not want their kids to watch Obama. I understand. Personally I do not even understand why he is making this speech. This is not some communist country where the leader speaks for five hours and they are giving a quiz later to see if they were paying attention. i think Obama is using the kids speech trying to hide the fact his health care plan is going no where.
